1. Why has The Pharmacy Guild of Australia (PGA) decided to partner with MedAdvisor?
Technology is a key enabler for the successful implementation of new pharmacy services and programs. MedAdvisor has a proven track record of successfully supporting over 70% of pharmacies in Australia to deliver services such as Covid-19 vaccinations.
This partnership provides the opportunity to simplify medication management for both patients and the pharmacy network bysing accelerating the delivery of an enhanced platform that reaches more pharmacies and broadens accessibility to patients.
The partnership between PGA and MedAdvisor will ensure there is a technology solution to deliver new and ongoing commitments to health service initiatives including government programs that provide for and support the health needs of communities across Australia.
2. How will data be managed?
MedAdvisor and the PGA take data security and privacy seriously. MedAdvisor has very strict rules on how data is accessed, stored, managed and used. GuildLink’s’s privacy policies and data agreements will continue to apply to all GuildLink users.
3. How will this partnership affect GuildLink customers?
If you are currently using GuildCare (including GuildCare Lite), you can continue to do so for the time being. The GuidCare platforms will continue to be supported and no material changes to the features or functionality of the software are planned over this time.
Over the coming months, updates will be made to the MedAdvisor platform to ensure key features currently available in GuildCare will be available in MedAdvisor, including Project Stop.
Pharmacies using GuildCare will then be progressively transitioned onto the MedAdvisor platform. Full assistance will be provided to these pharmacies as part of the transition process.
4. How will GuildLink customers benefit?
Combining the unique features of GuildCare with MedAdvisor’s leading pharmacy platform means pharmacies will be offered an enhanced platform that meets all their medication management and professional service needs. Continued technology development on an enhanced platform also means there will be greater consistency across the industry.
5. I am using GuildCare Lite to access features such as Project Stop. When will these features be available in MedAdvisor?
MedAdvisor will be adding these features to the MedAdvisor platform. In the meantime, if you require these features, please continue to use GuildCare Lite.
